Don’t miss out on this opportunity to expand your taste buds. We will be serving appetizers during the event to keep your appetite satisfied.
Tea, one of the world's most popular beverages, holds a rich cultural significance and is enjoyed by people from diverse backgrounds. In an effort to delve deeper into American tea drinking preferences, we are organizing a tasting study in collaboration with Professor Jacquelyn Gervay-Hague from the University of California. This study aims to assess and analyze the unique characteristics of black teas sourced from Ceylon, Taiwan, and California. By understanding the chemical compounds and their potential benefits, we hope to shed light on the diverse palates and preferences of tea drinkers in the United States.
The primary objective of this tasting study is to gain insights into the preferences and perceptions of American tea drinkers regarding black teas from different regions. By comparing and contrasting teas from Ceylon, Taiwan, and California, we aim to identify any regional preferences or variations in taste, aroma, and overall quality.
To achieve our goals, we will invite 20 individuals to participate in the tasting study. These individuals will be selected from diverse backgrounds to represent a wide range of tea drinking preferences. Each participant will be provided with a variety of black teas from Ceylon, Taiwan, and California.
The study will be conducted at BuchuVida where participants will have the opportunity to evaluate the teas using standardized criteria. We will consider factors such as appearance, aroma, flavor profile, mouthfeel, and aftertaste. Participants will be encouraged to provide detailed feedback, including their personal preferences.
